TANTRIC EXPANDED ORGASM (ESR-EO)

         As pointed out in the Tantric poem, a Tantric orgasm is a transcendent happening not only in the female’s body, but also in the consciousness! French call some orgasms as “petit morte” ! Ernst Hemingway, in “For Whom The Bells are Ringing”, describes it as an earthquake! Lately a Big-O is always mentioned in the Tantric books, also a “Cosmic Orgasm” term is recited in many texts recently!

         Expanded sexual response (ESR) and expanded orgasm (EO) terms are very new to most of the people! It is not an ordinary female sexual behavior, but it is a transcendental one! During an EO the full body orgasms and contractions follow each other for minutes, and even for some women, it lasts more than minutes! Very few women report that they have attained ESR and EO. In ESR, a continuous form of repetitive orgasms may follow each other, until there is a Big-O at the end. Old Taoists used to name it as Valley Orgasms.

During an EO, there may be also be a form of altered states of consciousness (ASC). The woman may feel herself flying; out of her body; finding herself in a dreamy state, where she can have flashes of memories, flashes of light, flashes of some short images of nature; crying; ecstatic; shouting; becoming non-human or animal! Also depersonalization is very common!

What makes a woman so deeply affected is still a mystery! ASC is not very common, but most of the Tantric orgasms describe a form of ASC. During an EO, a woman generally attains more than 10 to 20 single orgasms or a prolonged form of blended orgasms (a blended orgasm is the combination of clitoral and vaginal orgasm triggered at the same time, as defined by Ladas, Perry and Whipple! If the blended orgasmic state is continued, a form of status orgasmus may occur! The mechanism of this is unknown yet! However, there are attempts to explain these extreme full body orgasmic states by the four nerve theory, developed by Komisaruk and Whipple!

It is stated in the old Tantra scriptures and modern sexual physiology books that, a woman can have an orgasm through more than one locus. Those loci orgasms have been described lately by the ‘sole stimulation’ of the following:

·        Glans Clitoris

·        Other clitoral structures (clitoral complex)

·        G-Spot

·        A-Spot

·        Cervix

·        Nipples

·        Ear lobes

·        Anus

·        PC-muscles (pelvic floor muscles)

The four nerve theory of orgasm states that pudental, pelvic, hypogastric and vagus nerves take part in the development of an orgasm. What if all of them are stimulated and many of the loci above are stimulated at the same time? Probably this is the main mechanism of how an ESR or EO may develop. Of course BRAIN is the most important sexual organ, and I would not like to forget it! In Tantra, full body, epileptic fit orgasms that last for many minutes are mentioned which are very different from the usual, ordinary, single clitoral or vaginal orgasms.

The brain’s being ready for these changes is very crucial. Actually it is the brain that experiences the ESR and EO, not the loci cited above. The psychology of women who experience EO is also of importance. It is a kind of full ecstasy and abandonment that brings extreme happiness and relief.
